Camping furniture for festivals, campsites and days out

A comfortable seat and somewhere to put your drink is the difference between sitting in a field and actually enjoying it. Summit camping furniture is built around that: folding chairs, stools and tables that pack down small, fit in the boot without a fight and set up in seconds.

Our camping chairs run from ultra light pack away chairs you can carry one handed to padded high back chairs for longer evenings outside. If you want something smaller again, our telescopic and folding camping stools pack flatter still and make a useful spare seat for kids, fishing or an unexpected extra guest.

Our camping tables are compact by design. Bamboo snack tables and collapsible side tables that give you somewhere for a drink, a plate and a phone, without taking up half the tent or half the boot. Put a small table next to a set of chairs and you have a proper place to sit and eat rather than balancing plates on your knees.

It all works just as well in the back garden as it does on a campsite, so nothing has to sit in the loft for eleven months of the year.

Finish the setup with a sleeping bag and camping mat for the night, a cool bag to keep drinks cold through the day, and picnic and dining kit for eating outdoors. Still need shelter? Browse our tents and shelters.

FAQs

What camping furniture do you need for a weekend away?

A chair each and one small table covers most trips. Add a stool or two if you are camping with kids or expecting company. Beyond that it depends on how you camp, so it is worth starting with the basics and building up rather than buying a full setup in one go.

Should I get a camping chair or a camping stool?

A chair is the better choice if you are sitting out for a few hours, because you get a back to lean against. A stool packs much flatter and weighs less, which makes it a good spare seat, a good option for kids, and easier to carry across a festival field. Plenty of people end up with both.

Will camping furniture fit in a car boot?

Yes. Everything in the range folds or collapses, and the pack away chairs come in carry bags that stack easily alongside a tent and bedding. If boot space is tight, the ultra light chairs and bamboo snack tables take up the least room.

Can you use camping furniture in the garden?

Easily, and most people do. Folding chairs and tables are useful for garden parties, barbecues and extra seating when people come round, then they fold away again afterwards. It means the kit earns its keep rather than sitting in the loft between trips.
