Camping Tables

Folding camping tables that pack flat and set up in seconds. Small snack tables through to family size, at Summit Outdoor Leisure.

Small folding camping tables that pack flat

You notice the lack of a table about ten minutes into a trip, usually while holding a hot drink and a plate at the same time. Our camping tables are compact by design, built to give you a surface where you need one without taking up half the boot getting there.

Bamboo snack tables are the smallest option and the most useful for one or two people. They fold flat, weigh almost nothing and sit neatly beside a camping chair for a drink, a plate and a phone. Our collapsible bamboo tables and round side tables give you a bit more surface for sharing, and still pack down small enough to slide in alongside a tent.

Because they collapse rather than fold in half, they store flat and go up in seconds, so setting up is not a job in itself. Table cloth holders are worth adding if you are eating outdoors, since a breeze and a loose cloth rarely end well.

A small table and a set of chairs is the setup most people end up with, and it works just as well on a picnic blanket day or in the garden as it does on a campsite.

Pair a table with a camping chair, add picnic and dining kit for eating outdoors and a cook set if you are cooking as well. Browse the full camping furniture range for everything else.

FAQs

What size camping table do I need?

A small snack table is enough for drinks, phones and a plate for one or two people, and it is the size most people get the most use out of. If you are sharing or setting food down for a group, one of the larger collapsible tables gives you more surface while still packing flat.

What is the best camping table?

The best one is the one that matches how you camp. If you are moving between pitches or walking in from the car, pick the lightest table that still takes a plate. If the table stays put once you arrive, prioritise surface area and a stable frame over pack size.

Are folding camping tables stable on grass?

They are, as long as you set them up on reasonably level ground and press the legs down so they seat properly rather than resting on the tips. On very soft ground, a wider footprint helps. Avoid putting anything heavy on one edge, which is what usually causes a wobble.

Can you get a camping table and chairs set?

We sell tables and chairs separately rather than as a fixed set, which means you can match a table size to the number of chairs you actually need. A small table with two or four pack away chairs is the most common combination.

How do you clean a bamboo camping table?

Wipe it down with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent, then dry it properly rather than leaving it wet. Bamboo does not like being stored damp or left standing in the rain, so bring it in when you are done and store it flat somewhere dry.
